Our
HISTORY
Cielo e Terra has dual roots in the Veneto region: the Cielo family and the winemakers of the Cantine dei Colli Berici.
The Cielo family’s bond with the land dates back to 1908 in the Vicenza countryside, near the Castles of Romeo and Juliet, where the great-grandfather had bought Casa Defrà, a small farm with a vineyard.

Our
territory
We are proud to live in a plush and fertile region. Large swathes of woodland and an excellent climate, together with our proximity to the sea and the protection of the Small Dolomites, have made this district ideal for the cultivation of the vine since ancient times. Garganega and Tai wines were produced in this area, and the oldest evidence of Prosecco production can be found here.
The Prosecco from Monte Berico is in fact mentioned in a 1754 tome entitled ‘Roccolo Ditirambo’.

Our
villa "La Favorita"
In 2021, the Palladian-style Venetian Villa La Favorita was purchased to preserve and enhance the artistic heritage of the district.
Standing majestically in a vineyard on the top of a hill facing the Colli Berici, the villa will become our main headquarters and hospitality venue with the aim of forging strong relationships between the winegrowing district and our customers.
